DANCE

Whether your dancer is looking for a once-a-week hobby, preparing to audition for dance company/drill team, or interested in pursuing a professional career, we have a program to fit your needs. Let us help you reach your goals!

To register as a new student please make an appointment.
Returning dancers were given their level placement at the end of the last season and may register through the Log In page tab of this website.

Recreational Dance

Recreation classes are for dancers who want to improve their technique and perform once a year at our end of year concert. Styles for recreational dancers include ballet, jazz, modern, hip-hop, tumbling/acro, tap, and Broadway dance. Dancers taking modern or jazz are required to register for one hour of ballet.  Ballet is the foundation of all dance styles and provides our dancers with superior technique that translates into their other classes. We hold all our students to the highest level of decorum. This means we expect them to adhere to the dress code for their class as well as our attendance policy. At other studios competition teams take priority over recreational dancers, not at Encore. All our students receive superior training, attention, and time.

Leveling

Before registering, each new dancer and their parent is invited to have a consultation meeting with Emma to ensure they are placed at the correct level. Returning dancers may register on their own via the Log In page of this website. The levels below are to be used for reference only. A dancer's age doesn't place them in a specific level.

Level 1/2 - Preschool (All dancers must be potty trained)
Level 3 - Kindergarten/First Grade
Level 4  - Second/Third Grade

Level 5 - Fourth/Fifth Grade
Demi - Sixth/Middle school, by audition only
Academy - Middle school, by audition only
Company - Middle/High school, by audition only
Principles - High school, by audition only

Competition Teams

Students in Demi Ballet or higher may choose to audition for one of our competition teams. These dancers take ballet technique and rehearsal hours with recreational students on their same level but have separate classes for the styles in which they will compete in: jazz, modern, and hip-hop.

Dancers on either company are allowed no more than three absences per semester and are required to attend three competitions and the end of season concert. Each season we attend two local competition and one competition in St. George. More information about competition teams is available via the link below.
