Theater Classes
Utah is a hub for the theatre. Nowhere else will you find classes that specifically prepare your student to audition for school and community productions. Whether it's your student's goal to make their school Music Dance Theater team or land a role in a play or musical we have the classes that will help them get there.
Voice I/II
These group classes are focused on vocal technique specific to music used in Broadway shows. Enrollment is limited to a small number of students to ensure that each student is given specific attention. These students perform with the music students in the end of season music showcase.
Acting I/II
These classes are designed to teach students techniques for character portrayal. Students will have fun learning monologues, doing group scenes, and learning how to do improv comedy. These students do not perform but will have the opportunity to showcase their hard work in a private event held for parents during their regular class hour at the end of the year.
Broadway Dance I/II
In broadway dance classes students will learn singing, dancing, and acting all in the same hour. This class is a great option for performers wanting to experiment with dance and theater.
MDT Cohort
The MDT Cohort is by audition only and is open to students with some background in musical theater. MDT students are required to register for the MDT block which is 2 hours a week. Their classes cover voice, acting, and jazz dance technique. These students will perform in the end of season dance concert.
